Virginia Career Works - Richlands - Appalachian One Stop Workforce Center

Virginia Career Works-Richlands is a comprehensive one-stop workforce center. This center offers a variety of employment and training related services to customers.

The following are currently housed in the facility:

  •        Virginia Employment Commission

  •        Department for Aging & Rehabilitation

  •      Southwest Community College

  •        Adult Education/GED

  •        Workforce Innovation Opportunity Act (WIOA) Services

    (Adult/Dislocated Worker/Youth Services)

  •        SWVA Workforce Development Board’s Financial Empowerment Network


  • Career Exploration and planning

  • Job Search

  • Resume Assistance

  • Veterans Services

  • Access to Wi-Fi/computer lab/printers/fax

  • Unemployment information

For Businesses

The Appalachian One-Stop serves as a hub for business meetings, training, interview space, job fairs, etc.

The Appalachian One-Stop can collect applications for employers, pre-screen applications or participate in other pre-screening activities as requested by employer.  

Reserved space will be set up prior to arrival and can be reserved. (Up to 12 months in advance).

 In most cases there is little to no charge for booking; charges will be discussed at time of reservation.

Conference space accommodations include but are not limited to:

Coffee service

(Water cooler and vending machines are available.)

Food (guests can bring and/or cater food service) (Microwave and refrigerator available)

Projector, laptop (Or you can bring your own), white board, flip charts, markers, pencils, pens
