The Recovery Opportunities and Pathways to Employment Success (R.O.P.E.S.)

The Recovery Opportunities and Pathways to Employment Success (R.O.P.E.S.) Program helps target the specific challenges of individuals who are in recovery from substance misuse and need additional assistance to get back to work.

In addition to workforce services like training and job search assistance, R.O.P.E.S. takes a holistic approach to each individual’s recovery journey and focuses on both recovery and employment initiatives.

Recovery initiatives:
  • Comprehensive assessment includes mental/emotional health, basic skills level, and vocational interest
  • Specialized therapy including Mindfulness, Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT), Art Therapy, and Nature Therapy
  • Connection to a recovery network during and after completion of program
  • Education on healthy parenting practices and restoration of family relationships
  • Access to healthy living education including nutrition, exercise, and prenatal care

Employment Initiatives:
  • Establish work experience and internship opportunities for participants
  • Work with local training providers to offer short-term vocational training for in-demand occupations
  • Provide soft-skills training and resume development services
  • Assist participants with developing a budget and managing money
  • Coordinate with planning districts to develop transportation plans
  • Provide participants with opportunity to become Certified Peer Recovery Specialists

This program is funded by a grant from the Appalachian Regional Commission and is available to individuals in recovery across our service area.
