It’s scary for anyone not to know if they’ll have a roof over their heads. Just the thought can send anyone’s mind racing, causing extreme fear and anxiety. Emily, a resident of Lee County, found herself at risk of becoming homeless and didn’t know where to turn for help.
That’s when she met Meridith Brooks, the Youth Case Manager for Lee & Scott Counties. Meridith helped Emily search for apartments and fill out applications. Thanks to her efforts, Emily is now safe and living in her first apartment!
Now that she’s in a more stable home environment, Emily can focus on working. She is eager to explore training opportunities with Meridith’s help that will allow her to begin a new, higher-paying career.
