For #WorkforceDevelopmentMonth, we’re taking a moment to recognize our excellent case managers who work with individuals to overcome barriers they face when entering the workforce. We’ve already introduced you to our SWVA Works and R.O.P.E.S. teams, so now we’d like to introduce you to our Project Reconnect case manager!
Deeanna Estep – Deeanna joined the WDB in June 2022 as the case manager for the Project Reconnect program, which helps individuals returning to the community from incarceration transition successfully into employment. She has lived in Russell County all her life and shares her home with her two teenage sons and cat. She earned a BA from Emory & Henry College and an MSW from Radford University. Deeanna has worked as a teacher and has over 10 years of experience in the social work field. She says, “The best thing about my job is making a meaningful difference in people’s lives and empowering them to become successful.”
